And so it all begins, again. Because I am technologically inept, I somehow managed to delete my first ever post. Luckily, it was reblogged and I was able to get my hands on it:

Je vous presente Le Cracker

Damnit! After scouring the internets I cannot find the magnificent Cracker, or shall i say, “Crackress” from a recent episode of BBC News. It appears we are not understood on the other side of the pond. For all their complaints about their own National Health Service (NHS), most Brits concede they are better with it than without. So then imagine their bemusement when happening upon a free clinic in Misssissippi (one of the union’s most unhealthy states http://www.statemaster.com/red/state/MS-mississippi/hea-health&all=1) she appeared.  The woman was process of receiving free treatments in a backwoods clinic the size of a shack.  Though uninsured herself she did not much care for President Obama’s health care proposal. It smelled like socialism.

This nameless, faceless woman is indeed the inspiration behind my latest endeavor. I don’t know her, but God bless her. If nothing more, she has given me something to do. If only someone could grant me with another viewing of her face.

Luckily legions of other Crackers have come from the woodworks in light of the recent health care debate. They do funny things like paint Hitler mustaches on the president’s face and demand that our country does not mimic that gulag by the sea, Scandinavia. The truly riotous stand outside town hall meetings brandishing guns in anticipation of said president’s visit—as we know, there is no cracker alive who does not hold holy the second amendment. (Editor’s note: Some are even black?!) And so here I present you with The Cracker, light of my life, fire of my loins…

Update: My friend Christian Exoo at http://osricinamerica.blogspot.com/ found my lovely little Crackress. Her name is Vicky MacArthur and she speaks her piece 2:38. And before you get any ideas, back off, she’s mine:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/world_news_america/8213296.stm
